We believe in the role of nature in teaching children healthy risk taking, new skills and the value of adventure! We are proud to have several options for nature based programming.
Forest School
Jump into our immersive, inquiry-based forest school program for students in Pre-k (4 years old and potty trained) through 8th grade. Instructors guide students as they explore 20 acres of forest with a natural creek and learn a number of skills including fire building, plant and animal identification and more. Scouts BSA
Scouts is a program that’s been around for over 100 years and with good reason. Not only can students make life long friendships and learn new skills, but they can work their way through the ranks all the way to Eagle Scout, giving them a leg up in the real world with college admissions and job opportunities.
Grace Charters three BSA Units:
- Pack 165 – a co-ed unit for boys and girls in K-5th grade that meets on Thursdays in Spencerport
- Troop 165 – a unit for boys in 6th grade and up that meets on Tuesdays in Spencerport
- Troop 218 – a unit for girls in 6th grade and up that meets on Mondays in Spencerport
