Who is Littles for?

Littles is a cooperative program (parent led) for families who are homeschooling and have children in 4th grade and younger (4th grade is a new addition for the 2024-25 school year), including infants. Please note that all children in the building must be enrolled, so if they are 5th grade or older, siblings unfortunately cannot tag along. If your family has older children, please be sure to check out Branches, which is designed for families who have children who are infants all the way through high school.

If you have young children and plan to homeschool or are already homeschooling, we see you and we want to give you a warm welcome into the homeschooling community. Grace Littles is just for you!

Littles is on Wednesday mornings from 9 am to 12 pm in Spencerport for 12 weeks in the fall (September through December) and 12 weeks in the winter/spring (January through April). Exact dates and location will be shared with participants.

Cost

There are three costs involved:

  • Tuition: $45 base fee and $20 per student per semester.
  • A $25 background check fee per attending adult (once every three years)
  • A $48 membership fee (per family annually). The membership fee covers insurance and access to all of our field trips, community events, mom’s nights, programming and more!

Responsibilities

Families are asked to help out in classrooms (via teaching and/or aiding) and end of the morning cleanup, which takes about 15 minutes.

  • Teaching/Aiding. We ask that families teach 2 classes or aid in 3 classes. You do not have to teach to be a part of our co-op, but teachers will get priority registration. We will not be enrolling non-teacher families until all teaching spots are full.
  • Cleanup. Each family is assigned to a team responsible for one area. Cleanup is minimal (e.g. wiping down tables, cleaning chalk boards, sweeping, vacuuming, emptying the garbage) and takes about 15 minutes. There is childcare available during clean up. We do not have any setup requirements.
  • Attendance. Since our co-op is volunteer run we depend on the participation of our parents to help the day run smoothly. We ask that parents plan no more than two absences a semester. We realize that sicknesses and family emergencies can’t be helped, but do ask that you do your best to attend weekly.
  • Background check and Creating a Safe Environment Training. We require that all adults in the building complete a background check and safe environment training.
