Safety Policies
Background checks:
- All of our teachers and volunteers are required to complete a background check every 3 years.
Open Door Policy:
- Parents are welcome to check on their children at any time for any reason. We do ask that you be conscious of not disrupting classes, but you are never restricted from your children. The only exception to this is our Forest School program where it becomes a safety issue to have too many adults (do I listen to mom or the teacher?) and for that reason, it is drop off only.
Pick up checks:
- When you check in to Extra East or Extra West you receive a unique code assigned for that day. You will not be permitted to leave the building with your child without your code. If someone else is picking up for that day, you can send them a photo of the code.
- When attending forest school you’ll receive a unique pickup tag. You’ll need to display this in the window of your vehicle for pickup.
Hall Monitors:
- We have hall monitors and door monitors strategically positioned throughout our buildings.
Registration Policies
In order to offer you the best possible service, we do not offer refunds, transfers or credits for class withdrawals. As a volunteer run organization, we heavily rely on families’ commitment to our program through their enrollment. We ask that you are absolutely sure of your commitment to a program at the time of your enrollment.
Academic Integrity
The use of ChatGPT or any other form of AI is considered plagiarism and will not be accepted. Students will receive a score of 0 for their first offense and be asked to leave the class after their second offense.
