- The Greenhouse East: 10-12:30 at Church of the Assumption in Fairport (just before Extra East)
- The Greenhouse West: 9-11 in Spencerport during Sprouts at the same location
Our Instructors
Eastside, Jennie Sutliff
Jennie graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a BA in Philosophy as well as from St. John Fisher with an MS in early and special education. After working in a variety of school settings, both public and private, elementary and college, Jennie choose to end her career in teaching and homeschool her three boys full time. She has served on several non profit boards, volunteers for 4H, and occasionally does independent curriculum and special education audits for local districts when the need arises. In her free time she can be found hiking with her two dogs, rock climbing, reading sci-fi, running, or watching TV with her family.
Westside, Samantha Howell
I have an A.S.S. in Social Science from MCC; a B.S. in Psychology with a focus on Child Development and minors in Art and Anthropology from SUNY Brockport; and an M.Ed. in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University. I have worked with children as an aide, tutor, or teacher since age 14. I spent a year in AmeriCorps Partnership for Student Achievement in Oregon, and a year as a teacher for the Oregon Zoo Education Program. I spent two years as a substitute teacher in Oregon before moving back to New York. Some of you might know me from Littles, where I taught Zoology and Letters & Numbers for Kinders! I am now an author but still love teaching. Come learn with me at the Learning Pod.
We’ll meet for 12 weeks in the fall and 12 weeks in the winter (for exact dates, click here). The cost is $250 per student for the semester.
We will use differentiated instruction to focus on basic math and reading skills. If your 8 year old is reading fluently and successfully completing 3rd grade math, this program may not be a good fit.
There will also be a teacher and a parent aide in the room and a maximum of 15 students. All adults in all Grace programs complete a background check and as always, we have an open door policy. For more information about our safety policies click here.
